Bathinda, April 8 (Kanwal Jot Singh): A successful two-day Kabaddi and Wrestling tournament was organized under the supervision of Sarpanch Amandeep Sharma Sanju in collaboration with the Gram Panchayat Bhallan and the Shiv Shakti Club at village Bhallan in the Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency. Various Kabaddi teams and wrestlers from the region showcased their exceptional skills during the tournament. On the second and final day, Balram Parashar, the sharp leader of the BJP in the Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency and the district BJP chief spokesperson, attended as the chief guest. He was warmly welcomed by district BJP’s Mitt Pradhan Ram Kumar Sharma, district social media co-incharge Banti Dheeman, youth wing district Mitt Pradhan Nitin Bali, Sarpanch Amandeep Sharma Sanju, and members of the Shiv Shakti Youth Club including Kamal Verma, Pyara Singh, Ramesh Chand Panch, Surinder Kumar Panch, Bimla Devi Panch, Raj Rani Panch, Kuldeep Kumar Panch, Kuldeep Singh Banga, Kulwant Singh former Panch, Kamal Verma Lakha, Lucky former Panch, Rajinder Singh Rana, Dr. Suman Kumar, and Kamal Singh Rana former Sarpanch, who also introduced him to the players.
Speaking on the occasion, young BJP leader Balram Parashar first congratulated the office-bearers and members of the Shiv Shakti Youth Club and Sarpanch Amandeep Sharma Sanju for organizing the successful tournament. He also congratulated and wished all the players the best for their bright futures. He emphasized the importance of such sporting events, especially in a time when Punjab is losing its youth to synthetic drugs. He stated that programs like this create a competitive spirit among the youth and encourage them to focus on their physical and mental well-being.
Balram Parashar urged all sections of society to come forward and make sincere efforts to save the youth from the menace of drugs and help those already trapped in it. He also mentioned his special connection with the Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency and highlighted the abundance of natural resources in the area. However, he criticized the poor governance that has turned these natural gifts into a curse for the local people. On the occasion, a wrestling match between champion Pitpal Fattuwala and Mani Alamgir took place, with Pitpal Fattuwala emerging victorious, winning a prize of Rs. 1,11,000. Balram Parashar distributed awards to the winning players and also donated financial support to the club, encouraging them to organize more such events in the future.
