Jaito, 08 April (Manjeet Singh Dhalla) – Ram Navami is the birthday of Lord Ram Chandra Ji. It is a festival for Hindus. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Ram Chandra Ji was born on the ninth day of the bright half of the Chait month, as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He was the eldest son of King Dasharath of Ayodhya, born to Queen Kaushalya Ji.
Under the able leadership of Pandit Sushil Kumar Sharma, District President of the Brahmin Vikas Manch Faridkot, Ram Navami was celebrated with great devotion. The Akhand Jyot was brought from Mata Maiserkhana Mandir and was installed, and throughout the nine days of Navratri, morning and evening aarti and prayers were performed. Daily kirtans were also held in the evening.
Speaking on this occasion, Pandit Sushil Kumar Sharma said that today, we need to instill qualities like those of Lord Ram Chandra Ji and Mata Sita Ji in our children. Only then can a new society be created.
