Doda, 7th April (Lakhvir Singh Dhoolkotiya) – A career guidance camp was organized at Gurdwara Shri Guru HarGobind Sahib Ji, Village Buttar Sirinh, with the support of the Nagar Panchayat and the local community members. The event included a seminar on career selection, where students were informed about various courses and employment opportunities available after the 10th and 12th grades.
The seminar featured several speakers who shared their expertise and personal experiences. Among the speakers were Sardar Prabhjeet Singh (PCS, BDPO Nathana), Dr. Jubain Prouthi (Regional Transport Officer, Sri Muktsar Sahib), Sardar Hardeep Singh Dhillo (Steno, BDPO Sangat Mandi), and others. They provided valuable insights into career prospects in different fields.
Sardar Prabhjeet Singh shared his personal experiences and motivated students to work hard in preparation for government exams. Dr. Jubain Prouthi gave an in-depth discussion on courses and career opportunities in the commerce sector. Sardar Sukhraj Singh elaborated on career opportunities in the arts field and discussed employment in police, army, and paramilitary forces.
Dr. Chamkaur Singh spoke about career options in the medical field, while Amardeep Singh explained opportunities in non-medical sectors. Dr. Parminder Singh discussed law-related courses and employment prospects in the legal field. In his concluding speech, Prof. Amritpal Singh spoke about preparing for government jobs, emphasizing the role of sports in student life and career opportunities related to sports.
The event also included discussions on higher education, courses, and employment opportunities. The seminar was coordinated by Dr. Chamkaur Singh as the stage secretary.
At the end of the seminar, Prof. Amritpal Singh thanked all the speakers, the Nagar Panchayat, the organizing team, volunteers, the Gurdwara committee, and the local community for making the event successful. As a gesture of gratitude, the speakers were honored with mementos and ‘Siropa Sahib’ by the Nagar Panchayat and the village residents.
The event was attended by approximately 100 students and community members, including Sukhmander Singh (Sarpanch), Dharamveer Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Malkeet Singh, Advocate Manjinder Singh, Master Angrej Singh, and other local leaders. The village residents and Nagar Panchayat assured that they would continue organizing such events in the future for the benefit of the students.
