Kapurthala, April 8 (Kohra) – The preparations for the Vaisakhi fair, organized collectively by the renowned villages of Tibba, Amarkot, Bhilwan, Jangla, Gandha Singh Wala, Shikarpur Nasirpur, Bhoruwal, Saidpur, Nawan Thatta, and Bulpur from the outskirts, have been completed. This fair is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm and devotion by the local community.
The members of the local Gurudwara Management Committee, Piara Singh, Tarsem Singh, Master Gurbachan Singh, Jaswant Singh Kohra, and Master Gurmej Singh, informed that on April 10, the Nagar Kirtan will begin from Gurudwara Baba Darbara Singh Ji, Tibba, under the canopy of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and led by the Panj Piaras. The procession will pass through various localities, including Saidpur, Nasirpur, and Bulpur, before returning to the Gurudwara Sahib.
They mentioned that the Nagar Kirtan will include Ragis, Dhadis, Kirtaniyas, and students from schools, all actively participating.
The organizers further informed that on April 12, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, there will be a Kirtan Darbar and Katha program, in which renowned Ragis, Dhadis, Kirtaniyas, and Kathawachaks will connect the community to the teachings of Guru Sahib on Khalsa Sajna Divas.
On April 13, the Sangat will gather with devotion at Gurudwara Sahib for prayers, enjoying Dhadhi Wars, Kavi Shari, and Kirtan.
The organizers also shared that the Akhand Path Sahib Ji will begin on April 11 and the Bhog will take place on April 13.
The committee members requested the entire community to participate in these events with enthusiasm and to earn blessings from Waheguru to make their lives successful.
