Sri Anandpur Sahib, August 15 (Bhardwaj): Under the leadership of **Sukhwinder Singh Sagar**, in-charge of the **Padma Shri Prof. Kartar Singh Gurmat Sangeet Academy**, Sri Anandpur Sahib, **27 Sehaj Paaths** of **Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji** were initiated today to mark significant centenary events. The initiative has been undertaken following the guidance of **Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami**, President of SGPC, and **Balwinder Singh Kahalwaan**, Secretary of the Dharam Parchar Committee. It commemorates: The **350th Gurta Gaddi Diwas (spiritual succession day)** of **Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji**, and
* The **350th Martyrdom Centenary** of **Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji**, **Bhai Dayaala Ji**, **Bhai Sati Das Ji**, and **Bhai Mati Das Ji**. The students of the academy gathered at **Guru Ke Mahal Bhora Sahib**, Sri Anandpur Sahib, and offered Ardaas (prayer) before beginning the Sehaj Paaths. Prior to this, **Kirtan** of the hymns composed by **Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji** was performed. Following the Kirtan, **Giani Juginder Singh**, Head Granthi of **Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib**, conducted the Ardaas to initiate the **27 Sehaj Paaths**.
**Noteworthy Aspects:**
* The academy’s students have **completed the full Santhiya (correct pronunciation and recitation training)** of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji over two years.
* The **Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC)** is training these students in **traditional Gurmat music** (Keertan) using ancient string instruments like **Rabaab, Saranda, Dilruba**, and **Tanpura**, under the guidance of expert musicians.
* All expenses related to **free accommodation, meals (langar), and education** are being borne by the **Dharam Parchar Committee**, Sri Amritsar.
Prominent attendees included **Giani Juginder Singh (Head Granthi, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib)**, **Sukhwinder Singh Sagar (Academy In-Charge)**, instructors **Bhai Satnam Singh** and **Balbir Singh**, along with **all students** of the academy.
