Kapurthala, 6 December (Kaura) – On the occasion of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s death anniversary, BJP District President Ranjit Singh Khojewal led a program where BJP leaders paid floral tributes at Baba Sahib’s statue. Speaking on the occasion, Khojewal shed light on the life of Dr. Ambedkar, describing him as a remarkable confluence of multifaceted talents.
He noted that Baba Sahib was a skilled constitutional architect, jurist, social educator, inspirational leader, and nationalist, as well as a great scholar and writer. Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar was not only the principal architect of the Indian Constitution but also a proficient economist.
Baba Sahib is also known as a warrior who strongly criticized the discriminatory caste system and raised his voice against social inequality. He firmly believed that until the Dalits, marginalized, and oppressed sections of the society achieved equal status, the concept of freedom would remain meaningless.
Creating a Constitution for a vast and diverse nation like India was a significant challenge, which was entrusted to Baba Sahib. Due to his capability and expertise, he was made India’s first Law Minister, and he executed the task of drafting the Constitution with great finesse.
Khojewal remarked that Baba Sahib is remembered in the country as a statesman, the Messiah of Dalits, and a lifelong struggler for the rights of the oppressed. Dr. Ambedkar ensured equal voting rights for the poor citizens of India and fought for the ownership rights of farmers and laborers. He spent his entire life advocating for human rights and was a fearless leader with a farsighted vision who represented the rights of all sections of society.
