The martyrdom day of the ninth Guru of the Sikh faith, Sahib Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, was observed with great devotion at the historic Gurdwara Sri Ber Sahib in Sultanpur Lodhi under the supervision of Manager Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh Bachiwind.
During the event, the recitation of Gurbani from Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was completed, followed by Kirtan performed by Bhai Sarabjit Singh Lohia’s Hazuri Ragi Jatha, which resonated with the congregation.
The learned Hazuri Kathavachak of Gurdwara Ber Sahib, Giani Karnjeet Singh Ahli, explained the significance of the Hukamnama and shared detailed insights into the martyrdom of the ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The event concluded with Giani Satnam Singh, the Head Granthi, leading a prayer for the welfare of all (Sarbat da Bhala) and reading the sacred Hukamnama.
During his address, Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh Bachiwind, the manager of Gurdwara Ber Sahib, highlighted how the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji established a unique precedent for all religions. He recounted that Guru Sahib sacrificed his life at Chandni Chowk, Delhi, to protect Hindu religion and uphold the rights of Kashmiri Pandits, who had appealed to him for help.

On this occasion, Guru Ka Langar (community meal) was served uninterrupted to all attendees.
