Bathinda (Jaswant Dard Preet):The renowned institution dedicated to girls’ education, Mata Sundri Group of Institutions, celebrated its annual event “Udaan 2025” with full grandeur at its Dhadda campus. The institution’s Chairman, Kulwant Singh Sidhu, and Managing Director, Gurvinder Singh Balli, mentioned that the annual event and award ceremony is something eagerly awaited by every student, athlete, and teacher. On this day, outstanding students in various fields are honored for their achievements. Teachers and all other staff members of the institution are also recognized for their contributions to the growth of the institution.The Chief Guest for the morning session, Master Jagsir Singh, MLA from Bhucho Mandi, along with special guests Shri Lav Kumar, Shri Amarjeet Singh, and Harfool Singh Bhullar, also graced the occasion. The event began with a soulful Gurbani Shabad sung by the students, seeking divine blessings. This was followed by the official inauguration of the program, with the Chief Guests and the college management lighting the ceremonial lamps.The Director of Administration, Parminder Singh Sidhu, in his welcoming speech, highlighted that the institution, alongside academic learning, organizes such programs to ensure the holistic development of students. Thanks to the efforts of the college’s placement cell, many former students are serving in various sectors.On this occasion, the students presented a variety of cultural performances, including folk songs, poetry, Gidda, Bhangra, Shammi, Haryanvi dance, and a Fancy Dress Show, which showcased new outfits and creativity. The Chief Guest, while addressing the students, motivated them to study diligently and bring honor to themselves, their institution, and their parents. He assured that under the current government’s tenure, students would be able to secure government jobs based on merit, without any discrimination.The Chief Guest also praised the organizing committee, the Principal, and the staff for the successful execution of the event. During the afternoon session, Sardar Sukhbir Singh Maisarkhana, MLA from Morde, and the father of Sardar Bhapur Singh, along with special guests such as Gurpreet Kaur, Chairperson of the Market Committee, and several other local leaders, joined the event.
In addition, prominent personalities from the education world, including Principals Kulwinder Singh, Chamkaur Singh, Charanjit Sharma, and others, were present. The Principal of the institution, Raj Singh Bagha, thanked the Chief Guests, special guests, press representatives, parents of the students, and other dignitaries who attended the event. He also read the annual report of the institution.Subsequently, the institution honored students, athletes, teachers, non-teaching staff, class-four employees, van transporters, and press representatives for their contributions. The Director, Madam Simbaljeet Kaur, along with Treasurer Madam Prashotam Kaur and Principal Kanwardeep Singh Gill, presented mementos to the invited guests.Prof. Jaswinder Singh played a significant role as the convener of the event, with Prof. Ranjit Kaur from the Computer Department and Prof. Manpreet Kaur from the B.Ed Department also contributing significantly. Prof. Rajwinder Singh, in his role as stage secretary, kept the program well-coordinated and memorable, with the help of Prof. Rajwinder Kaur and Senior Prof. Ravinder Kumar Sharma.The event was also supported by various faculty members, including Prof. Amandeep Kaur, Prof. Jaswinder Kaur, Prof. Harvinder Kaur (FT Department), Prof. Gagandeep Kaur, Prof. Maninderpreet Kaur, Prof. Rupinder Kaur (Science Department), and others from various departments such as English, Commerce, and Computer Science. The Transport Department, along with other support staff, also contributed immensely to the success of the program.
