Amritsar, 8th April (Dinesh Soni): Kalibari Chandigarh is set to host a four-day spiritual and cultural program, which will also include the Pran Pratishtha (installation of life) ceremony of Bhagwan Shri Ramkrishna. The event is being organized to celebrate the Bengali New Year and the 56th foundation day of Kalibari Chandigarh. The celebrations will begin on April 12, 2025, at the Mandir Complex in Sector 47, Chandigarh.

During a press conference held at the Chandigarh Press Club on Tuesday, the President of Kalibari, Pranab Sen, and Secretary Rajesh Ray stated that Kalibari Chandigarh is organizing the Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ramkrishna Paramhans, who is regarded as the divine son of Maa Kali and a symbol of religious harmony. Inspired by the ideals of “Jagat Hitaye Cha” (for the welfare of the world), this spiritual monument aims to infuse new energy into Kalibari Chandigarh’s spiritual and social service since its inception in 1970.

On this auspicious occasion, various honored monks from the Ramkrishna Mission centers will participate in several programs, including the Patwante Bhakti Sammelan and Bhakti Geet Sammelan. The sacred Pran Pratishtha ceremony will be led by Poojya Swami Shantatmanand Ji, Secretary of the Ramkrishna Mission, Gurugram, and Poojya Swami Sukhanand Ji of the Ramkrishna Mission, Bhuj, who will serve as spiritual officers (Tantradhars) for the ceremony.

Each day of the festival will feature traditional rituals such as Kali Puja, Mangal Aarti, spiritual devotional songs, and the distribution of Prasadam, which will be a Bengali vegetarian feast specially prepared by chefs from Bengal.

Addressing the gathering, Joint Secretary and Cultural In-charge Amrita Ganguly highlighted two significant cultural presentations during the event: a dance drama titled “From Siddhartha to Buddha – The Divine Leela of Shri Ramkrishna” and a Hindi play titled “Divya Sparsh.”

To enhance the spiritual fervor, the program will also include Keertan music presented by the renowned Keertani Padda Plash and their group. On the final day of the event, coinciding with the special Kali Puja, Kalibari Chandigarh, in collaboration with Max Hospital, will organize a blood donation camp, encouraging citizens to contribute to saving lives. Additionally, a free medical check-up camp and an eye check-up camp will be held to benefit the local community.
