Kapurthala, April 7 (Kauda) – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its 46th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm across the country on Sunday. Since its formation on April 6, 1980, the BJP has carved a significant place in Indian politics. This day was marked by great excitement among party leaders and workers, with various programs organized across the nation.
In Kapurthala, BJP workers celebrated the party’s 45th Foundation Day with full fervor at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk on Sunday. The event was led by BJP District President Ranjit Singh Khojewal along with BJP SC Morcha District President Roshan Lal Sabharwal and BJP Yuva Morcha District President Sunny Bains.
The program began with the hoisting of the party flag by Ranjit Singh Khojewal, the District President of BJP. During the event, party leaders and workers remembered the contributions of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who were among the founding members of Janata Sangh.
On this special occasion, workers celebrated by offering sweets to each other and passersby. The speakers shed light on the party’s history, from its Janata Sangh days to the present, and discussed in detail the role of the BJP-led government in the nation’s development.
On this occasion, Roshan Lal Sabharwal mentioned that the BJP is now the world’s largest political organization. He emphasized that BJP is a workers’ party, not just a party of leaders. After years of struggle, BJP workers have succeeded in attaining power. He also highlighted that today, the BJP government at the Center has strengthened the nation’s spirit of “nation first” through various service projects.
