Phagwara, April 7 (Preet Kaur Preeti) – An orientation program for the new session students was organized at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Swinder Pal. The program was attended by the college principal, Vice Principal Dr. Raminder, Madam Sanjana Walia, Dr. Neeti, Dr. Rinka, Madam Priyanka, and other faculty members, along with nearly 70 students.
During the event, teachers provided information to the students about all the subjects. They also asked the students what they thought was the purpose of education. They emphasized the importance of being financially independent.
The students took the opportunity to ask questions related to teaching from the college staff. Throughout the program, Principal Dr. Swinder Pal informed the students about the college rules and teaching methods. Additionally, students’ opinions were sought to bring innovation into the current teaching methods.

Principal Dr. Swinder Pal mentioned that the college organizes an orientation program every year for new students and their parents. The goal is to initiate direct communication between the parents and students.
The principal also highlighted the importance of sharing life experiences as it helps in solving many problems. He stressed that collaboration between teachers and parents is crucial for improving the standard of education. At the end, feedback was also collected from the attending students.
