Kapurthala, 7 April (Kauda) – Shri Sanjay Kumar Pankaj, Additional Member (Production Unit), Railway Board, New Delhi, visited the Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala today. Upon arriving at the RCF, Shri Pankaj inspected the coach manufacturing processes at the workshop. Along with him, Shri S.S. Mishra, the General Manager of RCF, and other senior officials were also present.
He examined the coach shells at the Shell Assembly Shop and inspected various types of coaches being manufactured at RCF, such as Amrit Bharat, Vande Bharat, and others. Additionally, he reviewed the coach components being produced on laser cutting welding machines, presses, and other machinery. During this visit, Shri Pankaj praised RCF’s infrastructure for the rapid production of coaches and provided valuable suggestions for the process.
Later, a presentation was made in front of him, detailing the production and manufacturing of new types of coaches at the Rail Coach Factory. Shri Pankaj held a detailed meeting with General Manager Shri S.S. Mishra and senior officials on various issues related to coach production, assuring full support from the Railway Board. In the meeting, he advised RCF to follow best practices to further improve the quality of coaches for passenger satisfaction.
Shri Pankaj also appreciated RCF for the record production of 2102 coaches in the financial year 2024-25 and announced a cash reward of one lakh rupees for RCF for achieving record production and manufacturing high-quality coaches.
Furthermore, Shri Sanjay Kumar Pankaj held a meeting with various unions/associations of the Rail Coach Factory, emphasizing the importance of maintaining cordial relations between the unions and administration and the significance of cooperation in increasing the production of coaches.
