89 cases registered under the N.D.P.S. Act, 121 drug traffickers arrested
Faridkot, 13 December (Gurdeep Singh Dhillon) Under the leadership of Dr. Pragya Jain, SSP Faridkot, the Faridkot police is running a special campaign against drugs. As part of the operation, continuous special checkpoints and raids have been conducted, leading to the arrest of criminals. Under the guidance of Sh Jasmeet Singh Sahival, SP (Investigation) Faridkot, the police arrested a drug trafficker along with 980 narcotic pills. During a routine patrol under the supervision of SHO Gurlal Singh, CIA Jeeto, the police spotted a suspicious young man near a village called Kareerwali. When the police team approached, the individual attempted to flee into a wheat field but was arrested. Upon questioning, he identified himself as Bohar Singh, son of Gurdeep Singh, resident of Chitta Khooh, Kareerwali. A search was conducted, and 980 narcotic pills branded as *NRx Tramadol Hydrochloride Tablets USP 100 mg Tramawow-100* were found in his possession. A case (No. 269 dated 12.12.2024) under section 22C/61/85 of the N.D.P.S. Act was registered at Jeeto Police Station. Bohar Singh was arrested, and further investigations are underway.
