In a similar incident, Rajesh Mandal, a migrant worker residing in Daddwindi, recounted that around 4 AM, their entire family was asleep when someone called out his wife’s name, Pooja Devi, and claimed that the light bulb in their home was broken. Thinking it was someone they knew, Pooja opened the door. At that moment, one of the assailants quickly covered her mouth, while two others forcibly entered, demanding money and a mobile phone. When they refused, the

robbers threatened to harm their 4-year-old daughter, Suman. During the struggle, the child was injured when she was thrown against the wall, and Rajesh Mandal was also severely beaten. Rajesh confirmed that he could identify the robbers if they were seen again.
