Kotkapura, 6 December (Gurdeep Singh Dhillon) — Following the instructions of the Punjab Education Department and the guidance of the District Education Officer, World AIDS Day was observed at Government High School, Mohalla Sourgapuri, Kotkapura under the leadership of Headmaster Manish Chhabra.
To raise awareness about the deadly disease, students organized a rally to promote prevention and participated in various activities, including painting, slogan writing, and speech competitions. The Headmaster, Manish Chhabra, educated the students about the AIDS virus, its biology, preventive measures, and treatments.
During his address, he emphasized that, according to doctors, taking medication as prescribed is crucial. Science teachers Ravinder Kumar, Pavandeep Kaur, Kulvinder Kaur Deol, and Ramandeep Kaur also provided valuable information to the students about AIDS prevention.
The event aimed to foster awareness and understanding of AIDS, urging students to adopt preventive measures and support affected individuals.
