Bathinda, 8th April (S.S. Rahi): A meeting of teachers and parent associations from Adarsh School Chawke was held today at Gurdwara Sahib, village Rampura, regarding the ongoing struggle against the corruption in the management of Adarsh School Chawke. During the meeting, the teachers stated that the management is deliberately causing harm to the students’ education through a well-thought-out conspiracy. The teachers expressed their concern for the entire school, stating that they are ready to check the students’ papers and prepare the results so that the students’ further education can begin. However, they mentioned that the government and administration are deliberately prolonging the issue and playing with the future of the students and teachers.They further added that recently, a large protest was organized by teachers, parents, and farmer unions against the misconduct of the management and Punjab government. They also expressed anger against certain goons linked to the management and the Bathinda administration, who had been using force against the peaceful protesters. In response a large gathering of parents has been announced for April 12th to protest against these issues.
During the meeting, various groups discussed the preparations for the upcoming protest and future strategies. They also stated that their cadres would participate in large numbers in the program on April 12th. A joint press conference will be held to expose the corruption of the management throughout Punjab, and both the Bathinda administration and Punjab government will be held accountable for how they are jeopardizing the future of thousands of poor students and teachers in order to protect the corrupt management. Present at the meeting were Nav Charanpreet Kaur (DTF), Gurdeep Singh (BKU Dakoda), Teerath Singh, Amritpal Singh (DTF), Teerath Singh Kotha Guru Punjab Khet Mazdoor Union, Prostatam Singh (District President BKU Krantikari), teachers Sarabjeet Kaur, Rajveer Kaur, Baljeet Kaur, Jasvinder Kaur, Balvinder Singh, and parents Gurpreet Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Gursevak Singh, among others.
