Ghanaur, December 6 (Abhishek Sood):
The Numberdar Union of Sub-Tehsil Ghanaur convened a meeting under the leadership of Union President Kuldeep Singh Mardaanpur. The meeting saw the special presence of District President Sardar Jang Singh Dughat. Various issues concerning the Numberdars were discussed during the session.
The participants urged the government to address their key demands, including waiving bus fares, increasing honorarium allowances, confirming hereditary Numberdari rights, and other related issues. Discussions also revolved around the promises made by the current Punjab government during elections. The union called upon the government to pay attention to the concerns of the Numberdars, expressing disappointment over the lack of action so far.
Other issues affecting the Numberdars were also deliberated upon. Prominent attendees included Ghanaur Sub-Tehsil Numberdar President Tajinder Singh Raipur, Numberdar Raghbir Singh, Numberdar Harnek Singh, Numberdar Bhag Singh, Numberdar Sucha Singh, Numberdar Jaswant
Singh, Numberdar Balbir Singh, Numberdar Gulab Singh, Numberdar Kripal Singh, Numberdar Amrik Singh, and Numberdar Harpal Singh, among others, who shared their views during the meeting.
