Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and fondly known as Bharat Ratna, was remembered on his pre-Nirvana Diwas across the country and abroad. People from various religious, political, and social backgrounds paid floral tributes to honor his legacy.
Marking the occasion, the Congress Party paid homage to Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at his statue. Addressing the press, Block President Parminder Tiwari highlighted the significance of December 6, 1956, the day Dr. Ambedkar passed away, which is observed as his death anniversary.
He described Dr. Ambedkar as a towering personality who dedicated his life to uplifting the underprivileged and ensuring equality for all. His efforts brought equal rights to women and made him a beacon of hope for marginalized communities. As the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, he ensured justice and equity for every citizen.
Parminder Tiwari urged everyone to take inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar’s life, marked by struggle and resilience. Despite facing immense hardships and poverty, Dr. Ambedkar earned multiple degrees from prestigious universities and remained steadfast in his mission to create a just society.
The event witnessed the presence of several Congress
leaders, including former councilor Paramjit Singh, Nand Kishore, Mandal President Subhash, Beetan, Chetan Kumar Charaiya, Yuvrajjeet Singh Rai, Sukhbir Singh, and former councilor Amarjit Singh.
